Medical & Safety
Player safety is our top priority at the Westside Invitational. Please review all medical requirements below and come prepared.
Required: Team Medical Release Form
Each team's head coach or manager must complete and submit the Team Medical Release Verification form, confirming that current medical release forms are on hand for every player on the roster. This form must be uploaded as part of your team's registration. Please download, print, sign, and submit the form using the button below.
Inclement Weather & Lightning Policy
Coaches and players must appear on the field ready to play at their scheduled time regardless of weather conditions, unless advised otherwise by the Tournament Director. Only the referee or Tournament Director may cancel or suspend a game. In the event of inclement weather, games may be delayed or reduced in length by up to 50%. If a game in progress is terminated after one half has been completed, the game is considered official and the score is final. The Tournament Director may also change field locations if necessary to complete the schedule.
Player Equipment & Safety
All players must wear shin guards covered by socks, proper soccer cleats (no metal studs), and matching team uniforms in accordance with FIFA, USSF, and NYSWYSA guidelines. Goalkeepers must wear a jersey color that is distinct from both teams and the referees. No jewelry, casts, or hard braces are permitted during play. Players without proper equipment will not be allowed on the field. Each team is responsible for providing its own properly sized game balls for warm-ups.
